Late Night with Coconut Water (Poem)

Late Night with Coconut Water
by Cody Clarke

It’s 10:45
but it’s 3:45
because it always seems later
when you’re dehydrated

and I’m drinking a big can of coconut juice
like it’s a tall boy
getting my energy back
after a day of  girlfriend craziness

What is it about women
that they can make you forget
about water
about everything

about a whole world out there
full of hot mermaids and cool drinks
for you to enjoy

Life is better
than any girl you’ll ever love
